CAS-TWAS International Training Workshop: Extreme Weather and Climate Events

International Center for Climate and Environment Sciences (ICCES), The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) will hold a workshop during 14-23 July in Beijing on assessing and planning for extreme weather and climate events in developing nations.
ICCES is one of five CAS-TWAS Centers of Excellence in China. The workshop, "Extreme weather and climate events: detection, monitoring, prediction and riskmanagement for developing countries", (http://icces-trainingworkshop.csp.escience.cn) will feature renowned scientists lecturing and sharing their experience with the participants.
The local organizing committee will cover the local accommodation for 40-50 eligible applicants, along with international travel for 15-20 eligible applicants from developing countries.
