IAP MOOC on Data Assimilation

This series of MOOC lectures on data assimilation are recorded during the Data Assimilation Summer School held on 1-3 July 2015, which was convened by Professor Fuqing Zhang at the Pennsylvania State University (USA) and Professor Jiang Zhu at the Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. This summer school is part of the 14th CAS-TWAS-WMO Forum sponsored by the CAS-TWAS Centre of Excellence for Climate and Environment Sciences (ICCES), Institute of Atmospheric Physics (IAP), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), for the advancement of science in developing countries and CAS-TWAS-WMO Forum on Climate Science (CTWF), as well as partial funding support from Peking University. The purpose of the Data Assimilation Summer School is to train graduate students and young scientists with comprehensive lectures by world leading scientists in various aspects of start-of-the-art data assimilation sciences ranging from theory to applications.
