The 11th IAP-NIMR (National Institute of Meteorological Research, Korea and Institute of Atmospheric Physics, CAS) Joint Research Workshop was held in Beijing, on May.5-12, 2012; about 40 Chinese and Korean scientists joined the Sino-Korea workshop.

In the meeting, IAP deputy director, Prof. Chen Hongbin first gave a speech on “IAP’s Current Research Status”, and Ms. Kwon Won-Tae, director of NIMR gave a speech on “NIMR Recent Research Status”, All the Korean and Chinese scientists actively got involved in communication and discussion in the field of Climatology, Forecasting and Atmospheric Dynamics, Atmospheric Physics and Environment and Applied Meteorology etc. With the long time successful experience of Sino-Korea joint workshop, both sides made a further discussion about future research cooperation and development plan. The next NIMR-IAP Joint Research Workshop will be held in Korea 2014.
