Thailand Research Fund (TRF) delegation visited The Institute of Atmospheric Physics (IAP) on Oct. 29th, 2014. TRF delegation was led by director, Dr. Suthipaun Jitpimolmard. The general director of IAP, Prof. ZHU jiang expressed the warmest welcome to TRF delegation and introduced IAP’s research focuses and progresses. IAP would like to improve the scientific coopertion with Thailand peers.

IAP scientists and TRF Delegation had a friendly discussion on the topic of climate and enviromental sciences. Both sides agreed that IAP and TRF will develop further cooperation in the field of monsoon and Extreme weather, climate prediction, climate observation and analysis. They also discussed the possibility of establishing a Sino-Thai climate change research centre.

TRF delegation also visited NSFC, CAS headquarter and State Oceanic Administration.
