After Prof. LIU introduced the development of China’s carbon dioxide observation satellite (TanSat), the discussions focused on the data sharing and data applications. Both parties agreed that joint application of OCO-2(Orbiting Carbon Observatory-2) and TanSat data will significantly improve the estimation of carbon flux over global and regional scales. TanSat will be launched at the end of 2016, and will become the 3rd greenhouse gas satellite after the GOSAT and OCO-2.

Information about TanSat can be found at https://directory.eoportal.org/web/eoportal/satellite-missions/t/tansat
