The International Commission of Polar Meteorology updated its membership webpage on Sept 13 and announced newly joined members. Dr. LI Xichen from Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences is one of eight new members and his term of office is until 2027.

ICPM is a focus for research into the meteorology and climatology of the Arctic and Antarctic. It is one of the ten commissions of the International Association of Meteorology and Atmospheric Sciences (IAMAS), which is in turn part of the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG).
