2020-2021 IAP Annual Academic Meeting was held in Beijing on 21-22 May, 2021. More than 500 officials, researchers, and graduate students from UNEP, MOST, NSFC, CMA, CAS institutes and universities including Pekin University, Tsinghua University, Nanjing University, Fudan University attended 2-day meeting and more than 10,000 audience watch the meeting online.
Six keynote speakers gave talks on CAS-ESM, the second TP expedition, big earth data and SDG2030, carbon neutrality and UNEP Emission Gap Report. 50 invited talks were given in two parallel sessions— "weather and climate" and "atmospheric physics and environment"—covering storm and weather modification, plateau and monsoon meteorology, earth system modelling, extreme climate events, land-air-sea interaction, atmospheric physics, atmospheric detection, atmospheric chemistry and environment, carbon cycle and neutrality, and atmospheric environment modelling. 110 posters were also presented.
