In cooperation with Peking University, the Institute of Atmospheric Physics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences released an independently developed ozonesonde to observe the vertical ozone profile at the Mount Qomolangma Base Camp (5200 m) on May 3, 2022. The experiment is part of ongoing Second Tibetan Plateau Scientific Expedition and Research (STEP).
