Wang Lin Elected Fellow of the Royal Meteorological Society

Professor Wang Lin from the Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Meteorological Society (RMetS) of the United Kingdom in December 2025.
Founded in 1850, the Royal Meteorological Society is the world's oldest meteorological academic organization, dedicated to advancing research, education, and application in weather, climate, and related disciplines. The title of Fellow is conferred upon individuals who have made significant contributions to meteorology or related fields, following a rigorous selection process by a review committee and final approval by the Society.
Specializing in mid- to high-latitude climate dynamics, Professor Wang currently holds several key positions, including Chair of the Dynamic Meteorology Committee of the Chinese Meteorological Society, member of the International Committee on Dynamic Meteorology, Co-Chair of the CLIVAR/GEWEX Asian-Australian Monsoon Working Group, and member of the Scientific Steering Committee for the WCRP Lighthouse Activity "My Climate Risk".
