International Cooperation
The IAP cooperates extensively with universities and institutes in the US, Japan, Thailand, South Korea, Germany, the United Kingdom, Norway, France, and Belgium, amongst others, on joint research, talent exchange and education. From 2014 to 2019, the IAP signed a total of 18 cooperative agreements with scientific institutions abroad, and carried out more than 40 major collaborative international projects. The total fund for international projects in the period 2014–2019 was more than 100 million RMB.
The IAP has also proposed or joined major international research programs, including:
Additionally, the IAP has established six international research centers/units, including one of five CAS-TWAS Centers of Excellence(ICCES), and the Nansen-Zhu international center(NZC), and START Regional Center for Temperate East Asia(TEA).
