The " rapid observation system for greenhouse gases CH4, CO2 and N2O that designed for short plant vegetation ecosystem " was made up in the 90s’ last century, as one of series innovative technologies of simultaneous measure for the main greenhouse gases, carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide. A series of instruments or equipments were developed based on those innovations, which were not only capable of simultaneously observing concentrations of the three main greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, but also automatic or semi-automatic observing fluxes of the three greenhouse gas emitted from those short plant vegetation ecosystem. The original technology and the first instrument designed by professor Wang yuesi, and Dr. Wang yinghong give her contribution to make the equipment much easier to be operated and much more popular. The most prominent innovations of this technology is that integrated three separate analysis parts in the same platform, furthermore slight extension, these equipments can also carry out simultaneous observation of the SF6 and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Due to compact design, low cost, stable performance, easy operation and more scalable, especially high sensitivity, these equipments were popular in the field campaign of greenhouse gas observation in China, some even used in international observations. Since 1990s’, as one preferred observation equipments, these equipments have supported hundreds of scientific researches on their carbon and nitrogen cycles study. These researches Including the Knowledge Innovation Program of Chinese Academy of Sciences, the "Strategic Priority Research Program - Climate Change: Carbon Budget and Relevant Issues" of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, etc... Those innovation instruments or equipments have already got four national invention patents, and two researchers obtained the "Outstanding Youth found" with granted by National Natural Science Foundation of China. Authors cited the issues of this technology since 2003 were totally more than 200 times, including more than 100 times "SCI "issues.
