Prof. James C. McWilliams, academician of US National Academy of Sciences visited IAP on June.3, 2014. Prof. James C. McWilliams is Louis B. Slichter Professor of Earth Sciences in the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences and the Institute for Geophysics and Planetary Physics at UCLA, he is famious in the field of fluid dynamics of Earth's oceans and atmosphere. Prof. James C. McWilliams gave a presentation of "Surface Gravity Wave Interactions With Oceanic and Atmospheric Boundary-layer Flows”，and had a discussion with IAP scientists, then Prof. James C. McWilliams visited IAP lab, The International Center for Climate and Environment Sciences .
