Prof. Jose Luis SANCHEZ, the Chief Editor of Journal of Atmospheric Research (JAS) visited IAP on July 14, 2015. Prof. SANCHZ gave the presentation on “The scientific publication from the point of view of the Editor in Chief of the Journal of Atmospheric Research”. He introduced the history of JAS,and the quality control and improvement of the journal papers. JAS is hosted by American Meteorological Society and its Impact Factor has steadily risen in recent years. Its current Impact Factor is 2.844.

Prof. SANCHZ discussed with the participators how to write high level research papers. He believed that openness and collaboration are most useful ways to raise the citation and the profile of the research. After the meeting, Prof. WANG Yuesi introduced IAP's new progress in atmospheric chemistry and environment research, and discussed the further cooperation with Prof. SANCHZ. Currently, Prof. QIE Xiushu and Prof. WANG Yuesi are the associate editors of the journal.
