With the development of the institute’s intranet, the modern library management software has been adopted to offer the circulation inquiries, the online reservation and the renewal.
The library of IAP has developed into a very important collection and literature retrieval center of meteorological professional literatures, containing about 35000 books and 115 types of periodicals. Specifically, QJRMS of Royal Meteorological Society (1881-）, AMS of American Meteorological Society (1897-), JMR of Journal for Maritime Research (1937-), Meteorological Bulletin (1936-) and other important periodicals have been kept in the library for a long time, and have huge scientific research value. The library also collects a large number of master theses, doctoral theses, technical reports, information and data. The library uses the modern book management software and Suiyitong remote attestation service, and provides such functions as search, borrowing and full-text downloading of documents and literatures via the network. It also provides the individualized services such as documentation transfer, inter-library borrowing, literature retrieval, and new arrival search, and offers more comprehensive services to the research personnel so that they can find information quickly and accurately and apply for scientific research projects smoothly. |
